Time for an Umbrella

Honda had a diverse lineup of vehicles—from commuter cars to trucks to minivans—and the agency did a fine job of making each vehicle a standalone brand, which had the result of eroding what Honda stood for as an umbrella brand. In an increasingly competitive marketplace, the benefits of having a consistent brand voice and look and feel became readily apparent to both client and agency. I was brought on to help define the overarching Honda brand.
